As you know by know, power went out during a Journey concert in Houston last week, right in the middle of Don’t Stop Believin’! It didn’t matter though. The crowd finished the song and it was awesome.
Which songs could you easily finish if the power went out during a show? Too many to count?
For me it would definitely be Baby Shark, and like any invasive species, my toddler’s favorite song has drastically disrupted the delicate ecosystem that is my brain. It has reduced the biodiversity in my medulla oblongata and is currently competing with all other songs in my memory, for domination. The only thing keeping it from reaching Apex Predator status are the following lyrics, on a continuous loop in my mind acting as a force field:
(Galileo) Galileo, (Galileo) Galileo, Galileo Figaro, magnifico
But I’m just a poor boy, nobody loves me
He’s just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity
Easy come, easy go, will you let me go?
No, we will not let you go (let him go)
We will not let you go (let him go)
We will not let you go (let me go)
Will not let you go (let me go)
Will not let you go (never, never, never, never let me go)
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
Wait, what was I talking about? Oh yeah, songs you can sing all the way through.
