I Was Today Years Old

when I learned...

1.  “Donkey Kong” was originally going to be a Popeye the Sailor game.  The licensing fell through, so original characters were designed to take the place of the Popeye characters.

2.  The three densest cities in the world are all in the Philippines.  They all have at least 80,000 people per square mile. New York City is the most densely populated area in the U.S., but it tops out around 60,000 people per square mile.

3.  In a way, your dog causes twice as much pollution as an SUV.  That’s based on the energy it takes to produce enough food to feed a dog in its lifetime.

4.  When 3 Musketeers bars were released in 1932, they had three small candy bars in a package:  One chocolate, one strawberry, and one vanilla.  That’s how it got the name . . . which stuck even when it became just one candy bar in 1945.

5.  E.T.’s actual name was Zrek.  It was going to be revealed in the sequel, which never wound up being made.
