Ferris Bueller’s Ferrari Valet Scene

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was released in the summer of 1986 and one of its most famous scenes just played out in real life, kinda.

In the John Hughes classic, a valet takes Cameron’s dad’s 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder for a joy ride. In real life, a couple of car dealership employees took a customer’s rare 2018 Chevy Camaro ZL1E Hendrick Edition out for a joyride and TOTALED IT.

The owner explicitly instructed that the vehicle must not leave the premises when he dropped it off to be serviced. It left the premises.

The car which only had 989 miles on it was worth $97,000 . The owner is suing the place. Click here for more on that story and below is the joyride scene from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
