The daughter of the late actor Paul Walker, model Meadow Walker, on Friday announced that she married her fiance, actor Louis Thornton-Allan.
“We’re married!” she wrote in the caption of a 43-second video showing part of the couple’s ceremony. In the video, she can be seen wearing a white wedding gown and hugging her father’s “Fast and Furious” co-stars Vin Diesel and Jordana Brewster while Thornton-Allan wears a tux.
A separate Instagram post appeared to show Diesel walking her down the aisle. A source confirmed to US Weekly that the actor, who is also her godfather, walked the 22-year-old down the aisle in place of her late father.
The couple wed earlier this month in a beach-side wedding in the Dominican Republican, Vogue reported. The bride told the magazine that the ongoing coronavirus impacted the couple’s wedding plans.
“Louis’s family wasn’t able to attend,” she said. “A lot of close friends whom we consider family were also unable to attend due to travel restrictions.”
Still, she praised her aunt, Paloma, for helping to plan the wedding.
“We couldn’t have imagined it to be any more perfect and personal – and honestly it was easy and simple,” Meadow Walker told Vogue. “Louis and I knew exactly what we wanted from the start. It was a very intimate celebration.”
Meadow Walker and Thorton-Allan confirmed their engagement in a video posted in August to the model’s Instagram account, according to E! Online. The engagement came weeks after the pair went public with their relationship, the entertainment news site reported.
Meadow Walker, whose mother is Rebecca Soteros, was 15 years old when her father died in a car crash in 2013, according to Page Six. He was 40 years old.
