In my original post about the Super Bowl Streaker Yuri Andrade claims he made a $50,000 prop bet with +750 odds that someone would streak at the game. That could have netted him around $347,000. And it almost did win him that much, but he kept telling people about it.
Here is his actual run at the game in case you’ve forgotten.
Here is his own Instagram post about it.
Most betting and sports book pros said no legit organization would have taken that bet, but Yuri has told people he got around that by having multiple other people place lots of smaller bets that totaled up to around $50k on the gambling website, Bovada.lv. But since he kept telling people how he did it, Bovada has investigated and is cancelling any bets they can track back to him. All other genuine bets concerning streaking at the game were paid out legitimately. Yuri should have known that making bets and then causing them to come true by your own actions is considered against the rules just like insider trading, or even points shaving. So since he just had to tell everyone about it, now he won’t get it.
I do, however, have a feeling we’ll be seeing some more of this guy on the internet for some other stupid or crazy reason.
Yuri even pulled the same stunt at a Penthouse Gentlemen’s Club somewhere, and surprisingly even though its a small enclosed space he still eluded bouncers for over a minute. I can’t tell if I’m impressed or its just sad all around. (Probably the latter. Also I checked and even though its in a gentlemen’s club, there’s no nudity in this video so its safe for work.)
