On this day back in 1999, Clapton auctioned off 100 of his guitars for charity, the most expensive one was the acoustic that he wrote Laya on, it sold for $500,000!  Here’s an interesting list of the Top 15 Most Expensive Guitars sold at auction, Kurt has the top 2, they totaled over 10 million!
