Most Doors fans know Jim Morrison has many connections to Florida. Whether its getting arrested in Tallahassee while attending Florida State University, or getting arrested in Miami for lewd behavior in concert, or sometimes not getting arrested in the Sunshine State, Morrison in probably only more connected to LA, than to Florida. But Florida is a hard 2nd place.

Jim went to Florida State University for a year or so in Tallahassee, he attended St Pete College in Clearwater, and lived with is grandmother in Clearwater while he did, and he even started his infamous life in Florida, Melbourne to be exact. Now his childhood home in Melbourne is up for sale. Jim didn’t spend long in this house due to his dad being moved around constantly while serving in the military, but it is the very first place he ever lived.

The home is an 1,856 square foot home built in 1935 that last sold in 2007 for $225,000. Somehow, and I don’t think this is just the overly inflated home prices in Florida right now, the current sale price is $2.5 million?!?! The seller is hoping to cash in on Jim’s short term residence there with a Doors superfan, but I think they might be reaching a tad high for a home he spent more time in asleep than awake.
